Lymphocytes are white blood cells (WBC) that work with the immune system in defense against foreign bodies (remember T and B lymphocytes from the immune section?). They are round or oval with no segments in their nucleus. Their nucleus is dense looking so it's hard to shine light through. There is little cytoplasm present but what is there is usually sky blue in color. Lymphocytes are agranulocytic!!!
