The Tensor faciae latae muscle is thin and hard to find initially. It is the only other aponuerosa containing muscle we have to know besides the linea alba of the rectus abdominus. It is visible just under the sartorius muscle (note the sartorius is pinned up after being cut in this picture. It lies just over the quadriceps muscles (the vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, and rectus femoris).
