The transversus abdominus is shown as number 6 in this picture, however, since our cats are cut with the external abdominal oblique, internal abdominal oblique, and transversus abdominus all as one chunk of muscle and the guts hanging out, I placed the ventrodorsal running striations that are seen with the transversus abdominus on top of number 3 (the external abdominal oblique). The transversus abdominus is the innermost/deepest section of the adominal muscles on the cat.
